Watch me – I’m going for a walk
by Darren

I’ve mentioned before how grey herons are a real success story for wildlife conservation and improving habitat. I love watching these gawky birds, whether they are wandering around a garden like this or whether they are flying awkwardly through the sky. I’m surprised I’ve not crashed on the M25 yet – it’s fairly common to see herons flapping away over the motorway, on their way to some poor unsuspecting fish pond. Just as well I’m such a careful driver. And that the M25 is so slow that there’s plenty of time to sit and watch.
