Receiving holy orders
by Darren

Posting a little later than usual tonight because I’ve been talking to James Barisic and Phill Price this evening in our first PhotoLegal recording for a while. If you’re not aware of it, we record a podcast about legal issues for photographers and we’ve not created an episode since January so it was good to have a natter. We record it using a piece of software similar to skype.
Here’s another fellow using technology to communicate. For some reason I don’t think of priests using smartphones. He’s sat on a railing in the centre of St Peter’s Square on my visit to Rome and the Vatican a month or so ago. I’ve visited the Vatican twice over the last year and a bit, and regardless of faith (or none) it’s an incredible place and great for photography, particularly if you climb all the way to the top of the dome in St Peter’s Basilica.
Going back to the picture, I still wonder who he’s talking to in that message he’s tapping out?
