Yesterday I dropped the ball. I was transferring much of the content from our old website when I started receiving twitter messages from friends saying ‘Your auto-tweet has gone nuts’ and ‘stop!’
The plugin that I use on this site to let twitter followers know that I’ve posted a new photograph decided to tweet everything I’d transferred, in an instant – about 50 tweets in less than a minute. If you were on the receiving end then I’m really sorry. I’m especially peeved because up until that point the auto-tweet wasn’t working anyway, so for it to start working at that moment was a little inconvenient.
Anyway, this fella dropped something far more important than the ball. The way that I know I have an image that I’m really pleased to have made is when I can remember the exact moment I clicked the shutter. It’s a special buzz that comes flooding back when I look at the picture. I can remember creeping in to my conservatory with a 400mm F2.8 I was testing. I can remember pulling myself across the slippery floor on my belly and up to the open door.
I can remember the moment he saw me. That one’s easy – it’s in the picture!
Hope you’re having a good day, and sorry again for the extra tweets. I’ll try not to drop my nuts, er….. the ball, again!
