Nope – not coming out

by Darren

I’ve been diving for a couple of years now and really enjoy it – it’s a real privilege to spend time underwater with creatures that we don’t normally get the opportunity to see.  There are some limitations however to underwater photography and the main one is that time is much more limited due to air supply and safety issues.  If I saw a creature on land hiding in a hole or a burrow I would have the time to stay and wait for it to come out into the open, underwater however this isn’t an option.  This common octopus wasn’t obliging and didn’t come out of its hole, however I think this still makes a great environmental portrait and captures the essence of the octopus.
