Nice tusks

Every Friday Darren invites someone to be Guest Editor for the day to choose and discuss three or four of his images that have previously not been published on the website. Today’s Guest Editor is Felicity Fuller who works at one of our favourite charities, the brilliant Born Free Foundation and will be updating us a little on some of the work of Born Free. Felicity is writing in a personal capacity.

Wow, Elephants are so special – not just their size, their long trunk, huge ears and fascinating tusks … they are also remarkably gentle, have great intelligence and are both loving and loyal. Born Free is proud to try to help them escape from the many threats they face – both in the wild and in captivity. Sometimes good news happens and it is so good to hear that the baby elephants that had been threatened with being sent from Zimbabwe to North Korea are now safe – for the moment.
