Top 10: 5. Can I just lay …there?

A few days after seeing the pride of lions up on the excavated earth, we were down by the Mara river watching a pod of hippos and some busy vultures while waiting for a huge herd of wildebeest to cross back into Tanzania.

A young hippo who was resting on the end of the pod decided he wanted a more ‘comfortable’ resting place, wandered into the middle and plonked himself down over two others creating the image you see here.

I’m considering organising another trip to Kenya next year.  If you’d like to join me, let me know in the comments and as soon as details are available I’ll ensure they’re sent to you.

    I would love to join you in a trip to Kenya, just to have the experience and the opportunity to learn from you! However I think at this point in my life, it may be too expensive… but if you do plan on it, please send me some details. You never know where life takes you :)
