My day in the sun has come to a close
by Louise Hector

Thanks to Darren for letting me take over the blog today and use his photos as inspiration for my posts. My plan wasn’t to rant but I tend to find that Darren’s photographs provoke strong emotions – always a sign of good art. It inspires debate, emotion, strong feelings. Even photos that I don’t like as much as others make me think.
This image just makes me happy. It’s the end of another fabulous day in Barbados, my favourite country in the world. Looking at this photo I can feel the sun on my face, the rum punch in my hand and the anticipation of another beautiful day by the sea.
We’ve decided that we like the guest idea so we’re going to try and find some friends to write guest posts against a few of Darren’s pictures each Friday. Next week I’m pleased to be able to announce that street photographer extroardinaire Phill Price will be in the hot seat.
