Mmm. Tasty.

Despite the fact that the garden had fat cakes and bird seed in a number of feeders this starling felt the need to find its own food. And what a treat it managed to find. All sorts of bugs and creepy crawlies that will have satisfied a starling’s rumbly tummy for quite a while. Or perhaps it was taking some food back to the nest to feed the juveniles – providing them with the high amount of animal protein that a young bird needs to help it grow.
