Eats, flies and sleeps
by Darren

This is a male azure damselfly, just sitting on a piece of grass waiting for some prey to come along. Often mistaken for dragonflies the damselfly is smaller and a weaker flier than their cousin the dragonfly.
He’ll stay here until he sees a small flying insect passing by – then he’ll fly rapidly to catch and eat it. Then he’ll return to his piece of grass and bide his time until another tasty morsel passes by.
Not a bad life, eh?
