City girl

by Darren

One of the great joys of living so close to London is being able to go to any one of a number of great wildlife sites in the city itself. For such an urban area there is a real diversity of wildlife and places to go see it.

One of my favourite places is Richmond Park, the largest open space in London and also the biggest site of scientific interest in the city. It is home to 650 deer – 300 red deer and 350 fallow deer and I really do enjoy spending time with the deer. I particularly like this image as it shows just how uninterested she is in us despite our obvious fascination with her.
