Africa’s giant

Some species don’t need colour to look impressive. The African Elephant is the world’s largest land mammal and they’re wonderful creatures to spend time with.

This picture is another from the Masai Mara, but I remember fondly a trip a few years ago to Amboseli, just inside Kenya at the foot of the mighty Kilamanjaro. How fitting that the best place I’m aware of to watch these giants is in the shadow of Africa’s tallest mountain!
