A wonderful sunny day

by Darren

Not today obviously but a beautiful sunny day nonetheless.  I don’t normally feel the cold much. I can be sitting in the house with t-shirt and shorts on asking for the heating to be turned off while Louise is shivering away under multiple layers of clothes, but I’m feeling it at the moment.  I’m either getting old or it’s just very, very cold out there.  Or both I suppose.

I thought this might be a nice way to think about warming up so I dug out this image, taken on a lovely summers day a couple of years ago near Lulworth Cove in Dorset.  I grew up not too far from here and went often as a kid.  As with many people I’m not sure I ever appreciated the beauty or attraction of the areas around us.  I love traveling, visiting new places, seeing and photographing species and landscapes that I wouldn’t normally see but increasingly I’m also keen to ensure I take the time to get to know and appreciate the beauty of what’s local rather than just focusing on the exotic.
