A fight for the right …

by Darren

While spring’s an important time for the blue tit I posted last night, it’s autumn that’s important to these fallow deer.  That’s when they fight for the right to mate with the harem of females that’s been rounded up.

Deer are incredibly skittish so it’s essential when photographing them to use that mantra I’m very fond of ‘low and slow’.  This often means crawling around on frozen ground at sunrise, but I never said this wildlife photography lark was without it’s hardships!
